There’s nothing like partying in the name of charity. And that’s exactly what I’ll be doing next Thursday, June 9 at Hotel del Coronado‘s Chef Throwdown event. Held on the Windsor Lawn overlooking the ocean, Chef Throwdown will feature more than 30 local chefs serving unlimited hors d’oeuvres and desserts at various food stations.

Chefs will battle it out for the best dish, to be determined by a culinary council of local chefs and foodies, as well as a people’s choice vote. Local breweries and Valle de Guadalupe wineries will be on hand to provide drink pairings. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, and live and silent auctions. All event proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Last year’s event in San Diego helped raise over $60,000 for the Foundation, with this year’s Chef Throwdown poised to be even bigger. Now that’s a party you can feel good about.
