News flash: San Diego is a beer town. With more than 100 craft breweries in San Diego County, we’re definitely the Capital of Craft. We also have a plethora of outdoor festivals (beer, wine, food, art, tacos, etc.) thanks to our perfect weather. Next Saturday, June 4, the second annual San Diego Brew & Food Festival will take over Waterfront Park downtown.
In an effort to attract an equal number of men and women, festival organizers are focused on providing great food and music in addition to all that beer. About 70 breweries will be pouring 200+ brews, while bands perform on two live music stages. Guests can groove into the silent disco dome (think headphones with deejays on two separate channels), or watch local celebrity chefs perform cooking demonstrations. Chefs Javier Plascencia and Chad White will create beer-inspired dishes to serve in the VIP area. General admission tickets are available for $40, early entry (one additional hour) tickets are $50, and VIP tickets cost $80. Cheers to beers!
