Happy Super Bowl! Normally I only care about the half-time show and the commercials, but since Carolina is in it this year, I’m actually going to watch the game. Last year was the first time I opted for a sports bar instead of a friend’s house to watch the game, and it ended up being a lot of fun. The Tin Roof downtown is known for its robust live music program, but it’s also a great low-key bar to watch the game. The Tin Roof started in Nashville, Tenn. so it’s rooted in country music, but features bands from every genre. They also have a good bar-food menu that includes chicken-n-waffle nuggets (my favorite), sweet potato fries, and yummy quesadillas. Oh, and it goes without saying that they have a full bar and a ton of beer on tap. My friends weren’t messing around when we ordered the 100 oz. beer towers.
Cheers to Super Bowl 50!
